Sneaker Circus

Fire Eaters? Lion Tamers? I thought this was a sneaker store…

Sneaker Circus was a high end sneaker shop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Unfortunately this location no longer exists, but we keep it’s memory alive regardless! I met the shops owners while selling some prints in Washington Square Park. They liked the music I was playing and we sparked up a conversation. Truly a moment you can only have if you put yourself out there in the world with no expectations. They hired me to paint the few steps down into the shop. A day into the project, they asked if I could extend the design to the right wall, a day into doing that, now the left wall looks bare. This project really evolved heavily as I was painting it, it was cool to work that way and to have a client who trusted me as much. Lets pour one out for the murals who are no longer with us!
